Wood – a resources engineering consultancy company - is looking for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people for Trainee Engineering Designer Opportunities in our Perth Office.
Join our team as a trainee designer in engineering, where you'll immerse yourself in the world of design, learning to create innovative solutions and contribute to groundbreaking projects under the guidance of experienced professionals. Develop your skills, unleash your creativity, and embark on a journey towards becoming a proficient designer in the engineering realm
To be eligible you must:
Be of Aboriginal Australian and/or Torres Strait Islander descent
Be committed to working in an office environment
Be aged 18 years or older
Have completed a minimum of Year 10 schooling, a Cert II qualification or equivalent

Placements with dynamic team to develop designer/engineering skills
Receive support and mentoring throughout the traineeship
Paid Cert III Engineering (Technical) at TAFE
When you complete the traineeship:
Graduate with a nationally recognised qualification in a Diploma of either:
Civil and Structural Engineering
Engineering (Technical) – Mechanical / Piping
Advanced Diploma of Electrical and Instrumentation (E & I) Engineering for Oil and Gas Facilities
Potential permanent position with Wood
Shortlisting begins end of April, with TAFE semester intake starting in June.
